Illustration Friday: Shadows

This is my entry for Illustration Friday using the prompt "Shadows." I've been working on my technique in Corel Painter 11 and I'd love some comments!
Added a little later in purple:

Tuesday update: I just couldn't leave it alone. I think this one is much more appealing.
